How do I add clothing items to my wardrobe?
Tap the Closet tab, then the + button. You can take a photo with your camera or select one from your gallery. OutfitRec will automatically remove the background and use AI to identify the category, color, style, and occasion. You can edit any detail before saving.
How does the AI outfit critique work?
Once you've built or selected an outfit, tap Get Critique. Three distinct AI style personas — Classique, Avant-Garde, and Street Edit — each score your outfit from 1–10 and provide written feedback with specific styling tips. Critiques are available in English and Spanish.
What is Style DNA?
Style DNA is OutfitRec's preference learning system. It tracks your thumbs up/down ratings, outfits you've worn, AI scores, and saved outfits to build a personal style profile across four dimensions: color, style type, occasion, and category. Once you have 3+ signals, outfit recommendations are ranked by your preferences automatically. You can view your profile in Settings → Style DNA. Style DNA is available on Plus and Pro plans.
How do I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android):
  • iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → OutfitRec
  • Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → OutfitRec
Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access until then.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Go to Settings → Upgrade in the app and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you used to purchase the subscription.
Why isn't the weather suggestion working?
Weather suggestions require location permission. Go to your device's Settings → OutfitRec → Location and set it to "While Using". The app caches your location for 30 minutes, so if you've recently moved you may need to pull-to-refresh on the Home screen.
Can I use OutfitRec offline?
Yes — your wardrobe is cached locally so you can browse your closet without an internet connection. AI features (outfit generation, critique, image analysis) require an active connection. An offline banner will appear at the top of the screen when you're not connected.
How do I delete my account and all my data?
Email us at support@outfitrec.app with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and the email address associated with your account. We will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.
What image formats are supported for clothing uploads?
OutfitRec accepts JPEG, PNG, WEBP, and HEIC images up to 5MB. Images are automatically resized and optimized when uploaded. Background removal works best with clean, well-lit photos against a contrasting surface.
I hit my daily AI limit. When does it reset?
Your daily AI usage resets at midnight (server time). Free tier users get 5 AI actions per day. Upgrading to Basic (15), Plus (40), or Pro (100) gives you significantly more headroom. You can upgrade anytime from Settings → Upgrade Plan.
